Law of Attraction: What Are You Creating in Your Dating Scene?

Q: I've been practicing everything you've been teaching me while doing the on-line dating thing and I'm wondering, from a "relationship-manifestation point of view" if it is possible for me to "counter-create" and bring unappealing men or even no men into my physical experience?

For example, if I go online and the only guys writing to me are 58 and look it, and I think, "the only men who want me are old," does that bring me more old men? OR this past weekend, no men wrote to me at all, except one who referenced my love of animals by saying, "I sure like warm and fuzzy critters." If I'm saying and thinking, "There are no men" or "only idiots are writing to me," then do I only get more "no men" and/or "idiots" writing to me?

Given this, when faced with an empty inbox or an inbox of guys who express interest but are turning me off, how do I NOT feel separate from what I want?

A: We DO get what we expect. If your expectations and your "stories" about men are aligned with what you don't want, you'll get more of what you don't' want. It is important to look at what you fill your mind with. Do you expose yourself to male-bashing conversations? Do you watch tv shows of men portrayed as idiots, bumbling fools, irresponsible oafs or dishonorable jerks? Do you keep looking for evidence that proves your history with men right?

A woman who manifests successful relationships with men DECIDES that she will see and relate to their greatness. She looks for evidence that there are wonderful, high caliber men out there. She seeks out evidence of all the qualities she desires to experience with men.

Remember: where our attention goes the energy flows. So... rather than "counter-creating," I'd say maybe you're creating quite successfully... Might you be creating exactly what you are expecting? Here's your opportunity to REDIRECT your attention, your awareness and your creative energy toward what you want instead. Let's try some affirmations:

I am willing to SEE all the amazing, wonderful men out there under all conditions.
I am willing to be pleasantly surprised.
I am open and receptive to meeting men in expected AND unexpected ways!
Be willing.
Be a detective. Make it your mission to find evidence of what you seek EVERYWHERE.
Be protective of what you let enter you consciousness regarding men.

This will make ALL the difference in terms of what you will begin to attract and allow into your experience.

Try it and keep me posted!

Sonia

Navigating the Dating Scene

For the genuinely single crowd in UK, the perennial question is the same: Why are we still single? It's so surprising how many of my adult contacts and friends are eligible, well educated and yet still single because we find it difficult to find a person to date. It's like the dating scene in this country has become the world of Bridget Jones and her male counterparts. We're well educated, mobile and socially active individuals with decent bank accounts. But for some reason, getting a date on a Saturday night still remains a challenge for the best of us. Why?

When you're single, steering through the UK dating scene can be a tough situation. A lot of people are looking for "The One," and if you want to get ahead of the rest, it's time to put yourself out there. Being shy will not get you places.

No more singles?

It seems that in the UK, there is a shortage of eligible adult contacts, rendering dating a competitive sport. A majority of the people are part of a couple. You only need to enter a bar downtown on a Friday night and you'll find couples making out or flirting like there's no tomorrow. Observe this trend for a few more weeks and you will quickly see why local dating has become too crowded - and that perhaps, it's time to get out if you really want adult fun.

You just need to know where to look

There are lots of eligible singles out there, and those who cannot seem to meet these singles are probably just looking at the wrong places.

1. Use the internet. Sign up to reputable dating sites and you can meet singles asap. There are many benefits to on line dating - you can see info about a person first before you agree to meet, for example. Online dating sites also allow you to easily filter people and focus on the group you are eyeing, such as daters in your age range, daters with a certain education, etc. Remember that the social scene in the UK is sort of ageist. Daters aged 25 and younger usually don't have issues when it comes to finding someone to hang out with on a Friday night because they can get dates through classmates, colleagues, and practically everyone in their age group. But lets face it - you are older now, and it's harder to meet people in the same wavelength. In online dating, you can easily sift through the dating pool and meet singles you are truly compatible with.

2. Another option is no strings dating. If you know where to look, you will find "semi-attached" individuals - people who are not quite in serious relationships are free to date others. Most of them are just looking for casual dating, though, so don't expect a wedding soon. No strings dating is a growing trend in the UK, and you should take advantage of it, especially if you are just looking for fun. Who knows? Your relationship might take a more serious turn. You can even meet the love of your life. Luckily, dating sites like allows you to meet people who are looking for relaxed, casual dates. Become a member now, and start dating.

Over 40 Singles Hoping To Find Love - It's About The Right Scene

Are you over 40 and really are hoping to find love Find the right place to locate those other over 40 people on the right dating scene. Women who are over the age of 40 are often looking for a guy who is also over that age and one that will offer them a more stable and more secure relationship. But you wont often find those other over 40s at a club or bar unless you go to the right spot.

Often times what you find interesting will be just where you can find those guys who are your age. You love a certain hobby why not check out a spot where you can learn more about that hobby. Like a book signing if you're into books because those other men who are into books and your age will most likely be there too. Waiting in line for your favorite author may have you running into a guy who loves the same author and is waiting too. Pick that time as you wait to strike up a conversation, you just never know where it may lead too.

Think of other specialty events that are in your area where you may be able to find guys your age. A great example may be a gardening event or orchid show that is coming up. This would be another great chance to meet those guys who are also over 40 and single. Walk around and enjoy the show and you just never know when you may find a guy who will begin talking to you about something you both have in common.

Art exhibits are yet another location where you may be able to find singles that are older. When you find the right place to locate those guys who are older than 40, you should really go out and go to them. Especially if it is something that you also enjoy. Having something in common will give you a lot to talk about, and you just never know when love may come up in the relationship.
