Intro Lines And The Places Where They Can Work

Ah, yes... The introduction line. It is perhaps the most crucial weapon anybody can use in the dating world. Legends tell us of the magnificent ones, a casual remark spoken with a sparkle of the eye, a simple query that can lead you to blissful love and change your life forever. Some of us never used or heard of one, while others have too much of them already.

In the world of dating, there exist many sorts of introduction lines as there are types of relationships, and maybe even more. It is used to approach your potential lifetime partner, make that introduction and if you're lucky, sweep him or her off her feet right then and there. It is a way to break the ice, a technique that can capture someone's attention right off the bat. However, using one isn't as easy as it sounds. It takes loads of guts to walk right up to the apple of your eye and deliver an awesome intro line. Why? Well, you never know how he or she will respond. What if it's really a bad line? What if you get totally anxious and screw up the entire delivery?

You run the risk of being shot down and shambling back to safer ground to tend your wounds. So before you go right up to the love of your life and make a complete fool out of yourself, better make sure you know what lines are sure-fire go-getters, and more importantly, where they work. Let's check out 5 of them.

THE COMPLIMENT

"You smell amazing! What cologne are you wearing?"

"Excuse me? Have you always been this beautiful?"

"Did the sun come out or did you just smile?"

Everybody loves a compliment or two, and a good one is an excellent conversation starter. Pay that person a compliment next time you stand behind him or her on a jam-packed train, in a bar or any public place that puts both of you within close proximity.

THE OPINION

"Can you help me out? I'm having a debate with my friend and I need to know your opinion."

"Hi, there! Do you think that iPad 3 is way better than Kindle for eBooks?"

"Hello! I can't help but wonder... Do you think this painting accurately depicts the Renaissance Era?"

Needless to say, asking for opinions is a great way to strike a long, meaningful conversation. Just make sure that you won't tread on serious, sensitive topics though. You really don't want to start a heated argument with your potential lover right now, do you? This opening line works best on a park, a party, a gallery or any other place that is conducive to long discussions.

THE HELP

"Hi, do you happen to know where I can find the treadmill? I'm new here."

"Excuse me, can you please tell me where the Liberty Bell is? I think I'm lost."

"I have no idea what to order in this place. Can you help me out?"

Human beings are helpful by nature, so when you ask for help, you would most likely end up in a conversation or better yet, a date. This tactic usually works best in the streets, department stores, restaurants or any other places that have people regularly coming by.

THE QUESTION

"Hi, may I know what your zodiac sign is?"

"Am I right to say that your favorite color is blue?"

"Do you think Stephen King should be considered a legendary author?"

A good number of love stories started out with a question. It is an excellent conversation starter that allows you to get to know the other person instantly. This technique works out well in a library, a bookshop or any other intellectual hub that lets you pretend to be doing a research on a certain topic.

THE CONFIRMATION

"Don't you think the weather is just perfect today?"

"Isn't it cold?"

"Don't you just love this band?"

Asking for a confirmation never fails to establish a positive link between you and the other person. But before pulling out this strategy, be certain that the person you are about to talk to really is on the same plane as you, or you'd end up losing your shot in the dating world. This opening line can work on an event's place like a fair, concert, or the beach.

Intro lines can either make or break your way towards the dating and love realm, so you have to make sure that you use the all right ones at all the right places.

Sometimes love just seems too hard to find. You try to look everywhere but it just seems that you don't have the right moves or you aren't looking in the right places. There are some days it seems that however much you want love, it just wants no part of you. But really, is such a situation as hopeless as it seems? Or do you need to just put it together properly to find the ultimate person of your dreams. Here are a few ways for you to help find that person who will send you to Cloud 9:

- Hang out in a bar: This is the ultimate destination for people who love to have fun. And if you're looking for like-minded people, this is the perfect place to do so! Buying someone a drink never hurt anyone. It's a really unfortunate thing that romances never take off because one or both parties was too shy to approach the other. So don't waste that chance! And hey, if you get denied, at least you had a good drinking session!

- Surf the Internet: Everybody does it! And it's really hard to find yourself without a really good match on the Internet because it's such a large place to search. Networking sites and chat rooms are usually frequented by all kinds of lonely people looking for love. And websites where people can have common interests are also great places. Be careful when trying to find love online though. It's never been the safest place to do so and your dream date can easily turn ugly if you aren't careful.

- Get back to school: We've all seen it in the movies. That immortal line: 'is this seat taken?'. And we've seen that the guy or girl that sits behind you in class could be the future love of your life. More than being a source of inspiration, you can build lasting relationships with the people you meet at school. And you can be almost certain that people you meet in class may have the same brainwaves and intellectual level as you, which makes for great conversation!
